1. We took the métro to Champs de Mars thinking it would be close to the Old Port. It had an elevator going up from the trains but we were met by stairs afterward. Not sure of the effectiveness of that set up.
2. We walked to Old Port, Notre Dame cathedral (where Celine Dion had gotten married) and then had lunch at the Jardin Jade on de la Gauchetiere between St Urbain and St Laurent.
3. We took the metro to Cote des Neiges, the neighbour where I used to live, then actually Walked up to the shrine, St. Joseph's oratory!
4. We were quite tired, hot and sticky - believe or not, we had smoothies at a McDonald's! Absolutely not the norm, but grateful for the air conditioned rest before heading back to NDG.
