I just wanted to share this really cool pic my friend Catherine put together for me. You can see the difference much better in this comparison photo.

Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends 😊

CHOOSEday, November 24, 2015: blessed am I

Why is today such an awesome day? Let me count the ways (just some highlights):

1. I got to sleep in past 6 am.
2. I got to see all my kids and husband in the morning.
3. I got to drop off my toddler at daycare. He showed me his cubby and his indoor slippers. He was so proud to show me his 'school'.
4. I dropped off my daughter at her school, allowing me to chat with wonderful parents whom I have missed.
5. My friend Kathy came to pick me up in front of the school from the chilly morning in her car that had bun warmers! She was able to just turn on a switch in her car that heated up my seat :)
6. Kathy and I had an awesome morning chatting at the Portuguese bakery, then dropped off a container if cut-up apples for for my eldest at his school before meeting up with her parents Sharon and Jerry at VV (value Village).
7. I was got a senior discount on a spice rack :) thank you, Sharon!
8. Had a delicious lunch with my wonderful sister at Sushi Mountain - yummy food and good friendly service!
9. Shopped at Costco with my sister I had never been to before - got some organic apricots :) among some other items.
10. Took a walk to pick up the two younger ones - my stomachache started to abade.
11. Throughout the day, I received happy wishes via text :) from friends and family :) thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
12. I cooked supper for everyone... And the toddler even ate something other than chicken nuggets ;) nice job, Husband!
13. We all enjoyed delicious pastries from a Greek bakery around Warden and Birchmount. Not too sweet.
14. All the kids were fine to put bed.
15. This present moment of sharing my joyful highlights with you.

Thank you for reading! Please feel free to contribute your blessings in the comments below. Most importantly count your blessings to yourself, and you will see them grow.

Light and love,

10-day transformation with photos

Hey guys! :)

I know you have been waiting for this for a long time.  So enjoy :)

I wanted to work on putting these pics side by side, but they are what they are... no more putting this off.

Voila my BEFORE pics:

What in the world am I looking at?  Nice smile, Kim! Lol!

Man, do I ever look serious?  hehehe.

Then ABRA - CA - DABRA.... yummy yummy Power shakes, Super Aminos, lots of water, Super CleansR, Superlytes, simple flex foods and Apothe Cherry... for 10 days

All right, are you ready for the AFTER shots that my 7 year old took?

AFTER 10 days:

Here's me giving instructions for her to take the best pics... and look what happened.  The next photo is even better...

Am I sleeping here or what?!  Just take the picture, Little S without laughing so much!  :)

All right, so she finally left my head out of the pictures.  Thank you.

Main Goals of embarking on the 10-Day Transformation:

  1. Enjoy more vibrant energy
  2. Sleep more deeply
  3. Discover products and information that would be beneficial to my family and friends
  4. bonus:  drop a few pounds of fat

The BENEFITS I experienced through this 10-Day Transformation:

  1. The number 1 thing I noticed was the strength and "glowingness" of my eyes.  I noticed on the second day and onward that my eyes just seemed to shine.  More often than not, my eyes are the indicator of how tired I am (despite my daily genuinely happy and positive attitude).  Soreness in my eyes, stinging, strain just seemed to be lifted and replaced with a "glowing" wellness.  It almost seemed as though I could see better.  My eyes felt much stronger.
  2. The energy and enthusiasm especially with my apple berry Power Shake!  It's SOOOO awesome, yummy and makes me glow.  "Glow" and "radiate" are probably the best words I can use to describe how it causes me to feel.
  3. Feeling of non hunger during the day... as I got to day 8, I started to get more "hungry", but more on that in another blog post.
  4. Aches and pain in my legs, back and lower back vanished.  There was exception of one day in particular when I felt I needed to stretch my neck and shoulders, but in general, my muscles and joints felt well.
  5. The lovely feeling of my body just shrinking, feeling more space between me and my clothes :) Then the added bonus of friends commenting "hey, are you on a diet or something?  Your neck looks longer."  Or "I am getting convinced..." And my favourite text, "when I saw you yesterday, you looks like you were drowning in your clothes!"  I love the conversation!
  6. Taking time to track what I was eating (and continuing that even after my 10-days) in a little book with the cover "think Green".  I became more aware of how little water I had been drinking compared to how much I did drink during the cleanse.  This has helped me form new habits of getting my water when I get to work so I can sip it throughout the day.
  7. The support offered by Purium is awesome and invaluable.  I discovered that to benefit most from this program, do as much prep work and attend the daily support calls.  I will be better prepared next time.
So, these are my pics.  If you want to see more photos of other people's transformations, look here:

Little S's funnies:

I had wanted to share this a few days ago (and I am still working in the transformation post!), but here it now...

1. While driving in the car, Little S says, "mom, did you know that Abraham Lincoln is in the five dollar bill?" I chuckled because she pronounced the name "Abb Ra Haum". She keeps doing that no matter how many times we say it as "A Bra Ham."

2. While driving, I hear Little S's voice in the back, "Mom, why are you driving 40 something? The maximum is 50." I have an official backseat driver.

3. Also while driving, she says, "Mom, I am going to daydream now, so don't talk to me."

Funny kid

P.S.

Wait till you see the After shots she took of me after the 10-day Transformation ;)

Freedom Friday, November 13, 2015

New and Good:

1. Ate at the Bay and Adelaide Centre today, and discovered they offered free WI-FI!

2. Went seeking for the availability of fresh juiced wheatgrass, and was happily surprised how accessible it was in the  underground   PATH in Toronto. Building the excitement to when I finally taste my first shot ;)

3. Had a peaceful day with Husband even though we ate too much at a neighbourhood buffet, my plates were mainly romaine and fresh veggies :)

It's easy to fall into a totally indulgent diet once you get off a detox. I think the thought that helps me most is that I can eat whatever I want, so what so I really want? If you can stop and contemplate that before sinking your teeth into a donut or some artificially colour candy, your choice will be supportive of what's most important to you.

To your freedom,

Kim

Wednesday, November 11, 2015: day 12

Delightful:

1. Got to chat a bit during some free time with wonderful co-workers

2. As there was no line-up at a normally very busy Indian restaurant nears Staples on Yonge St near King St, I bought myself a vegetable thali. After eating the food, my curiosity had been quenched - I don't plan on going back there.

3. Even after hours (about 5 minutes), Jim at Healthy Meats still let me into the store to make some purchases. It was great to see him, and it will save me a lot of time on my Shop and Stop Hopping on Saturday.

4. Got to see Marilyn and Jodi at Feel Good even if it was just a minute.

5. Little R told me "not done!" In a recognizable way when I asked if he was done with his bowel movement. He then told me to "go!" Awesome :)

6. Got the tangles out of Little S's hair while in the shower.

7. Read "Un Árbol es Hermoso" to Little M at bedtime, and he repeated "árbol" (tree in Spanish)

8. Husband continues to make nice healthy suppers

9. Feeling like crap right now in the stomach after having eaten so much... Then so much junk. Thank you, my body, for your wisdom!

Tomorrow, back to healthy habits :)

Blissful blessings,

Kim

CHOOSEday, November 10, 2015: post Transformation day 1

Day 11:

That's right, it's done... Well, sort of. The road to health is never ending :) I feel great, but I am getting better!

This morning I weighed myself, and was 147.5 lbs. I figured since I had gone to the toilet at 2 am in the morning when my toddler was crying weighing myself first thing in the morning would be accurate.

Well, after using the toilet, I was curious to see if that would make a difference in my weight.

I was glad I took the initiative to weigh again. This time the scale read 146.5 lbs. sweet :)

And, I was going to have my home-made soup do lunch... And by lunchtime today, I was feeling quite hungry.

Can you guess from the photo what I had for lunch?

The weekend was a bit rough, but made it through. I have made some interesting observations, and I will be sharing this with you by the end of the week.

I am really glad I decided to do this cleanse. It has opened the gate to so much learning and involvement with a company with a vision and mission that resonates with my being.

Cheers, and Happy CHOOSEday!

Kim

Fantastic Friday, November 6, 2015: day 7

Freedom Friday

What a wonderful relaxing week at work.

Quick summary:

- feeling good steady glowing energy during the day

- took the Apothe Cherry in the morning along with the Aminos and Superlytes resulting in an uncomfortable amount of drinking in a short period of time, but that soon vanished

- as I got home, started to get tired and wanting to sleep (could it be from taking the Apothe Cherry which has naturally occurring melatonin in the early morning or was it just because it was Friday?)

- felt kind of cold and damp so made myself a hot Sleepy tea

- cleaned the bathroom

- put kids to bed and decided I wouldn't post until now (Saturday 11:20 am EST) so that I could just get some nice sleep ;)

Thanks for reading,

Kim

P.S.
stay tuned for Day 8... It's always a busy weekend. Have fun!

Thankful ThirstDay, November 5, 2015: Day 6

Thankful for:

1. The feeling of thirst that reminds me to drink

2. The effortless ability to swallow

3. The fun of giving out taste tests of the awesome Applebeery power shake with co-workers at lunch today :)

4. A comfortable bed with warm covers at night

5. The Internet that so easily and quickly connects me with you

6. This moment of peace to reflect on random things I am grateful for - my life is abundant and free flowing

7. The feeling of hunger for "regular" food... Giving me so much to look forward to in a few days after my 10-day Transformation

So it's day 6! Feeling awesome and full of energy today. Again, not hunger during the day, but I did being an apple with me today. It was nice and delicious.

Tonight after eating my home-grown squash accompanied by organic pea shoots, organic romaine leaves, mushrooms and a bit of avocado splashed with my home-made sauerkraut juice, I found myself rummaging my cupboards like how I would usually during a work week evening.

I was looking at my organic walnuts and almonds... Hmm, how DELICIOUS it would be to pop a couple in my mouth and chew chew chew!

It's pretty amazing what a temporary commitment can help you through. I think I am craving more variety of food... And the longing for it will make it all that much more fabulous and delicious when I get it.

It's called delayed gratification. Or you could call it self discipline. I am just taking one moment at a time and enjoying the pleasures and embracing the discomforts.

So yesterday I said I would share some thoughts for after the 10-day transformation.

Well, I know I am definitely planning to continue with the momentum of steering clear of the mass processed sugars, dairy and mass produced GMO wheat products.

I also now know that I love the Appleberry Power shake which easily and effortlessly provides me with delicious nutrition, so I plan to have that on hand for regular consumption - there are also Purium Lifestyle packages which include the a power shake and Apothe Cherry.

Speaking of Apothe Cherry, I think I will start taking that during my morning sip-in-silence mediation. It keeps me up at night to go to the bathroom as I am takin it after 8 pm.

Until tomorrow, keep smiling and loving yourself!

Kim

P.S. if you are thinking of doing a detox and have questions, I am here for you. Just send me a message, and we'll chat.

Wishes fulfilled Wednesday, November 4, 2015: Day 5

New and Good:

1. Today marks Day 5 of my 10-dayTransformation

Before anything else, I would like to express deep gratitude to my husband for supporting me on this Transformation. Thank for understanding and respecting my food choices these couple of weeks.

Thank you, and I love you.

So, Day 5 is the mid point of this 10 day transformation, and it feels like the mid point of a vacation.

You know that feeling of when you're off in another country, state/province or town? You know you're visiting for ten days, you get to know people and places, and you realise that by being here, your life when you get back home is going to be changed.

Well, today I am actually feeling a little less energetic than yesterday, but still feeling great.

My eyes are sore right now calling out for slumber, but in general I have noticed that my eyes since being on ten day challenge have improved. They are less strained, feel more lubricated not dry.

Again, I don't feel hungry... Except for a bit at night time, which is another indication for me to go to bed.

Tonight I was able to attend a support conference call, and at the end of a call, the owner and co-founder of Purium led a pretty amazing lifestyle conference call in which he highlighted 5 pieces of news: National Diabetes day, kids improving their health without sugar for just nine days, how the powdered drinks are dehydrated (and again, I am actually really surprised how much I love the taste and texture of the Power Shake)... I was also impressed with a vegan gravy recipe at the end of the call.

During the support call, someone mentioned about thinking about their first day off the 10-day cleanse. I had also been thinking of that today.

Join me again tomorrow, and I'll share some of those thoughts with you.

2. Little S and I had fun while signing her up with a library profile username. So many names had already been taken including her nicknames.

3. Got to read some of Cinderella to Little M at bed time- he actually stayed in bed... He did get up once but it was for using the toilet :)

What do you really want to do for yourself? What's stopping you?

Good night and dream,

Kim

P.S.

Catherine was almost right with her guess at my Day 4's supper photo. If you have seen it, go see it now.

CHOOSEday, November 3, 2015: Day 4

New and good:

1. Today marks Day 4 of my 10-Day Transformation, and I am feeling super fantastic!

Today was my second day at work doing the detox, I now have experience on how to make it work well.

Basically every two hours from the time I get up I take supplements or a gorgeously yummy green shake. It has been the Best tasting powdered nutritional shake I have ever tried that does not add fructose or stevia.

I have discovered yesterday and today that between all the water, supplements and shake that I am not feeling hungry at all throughout the day, so I virtually don't eat during the day. However, I so carry around with me a container of cut up raw chemical free celery, organic cucumber and organic pea shoots.

So far, other than the weight going down, I notice more flexibility, less soreness in my back and eyes, more space between my skin and clothes... I actually had a comment from a friend today that I need to get new pants because the pants in me are looking like my 'fat' pants.

What a compliment! Thank you ;)

2. I got to see my cousins whom I had net seen in a long time as well as my sisters, grandparents and parents. I am very proud of my family.

3. Sipping in silence with the Apothecherry just before coming downstairs to my bedroom. Although it's part of the Transformation, I think I would incorporate into my regular life. It contains naturally occurring melatonin to help you get a deeper well rested sleep. And I do find that in the morning I am more ready to get up without sore eyes.

Thanks for reading! You know I always delight in hearing from you, so please comment or send me a message.

How do you choose your day to be?

Blissful blessings,

Kim

P.S. can you guess what is in my supper?

Marvellous Monday, November 2, 2015: day 3

Today marks Day 3 of my 10-Day Transformation, and it's supposedly the most difficult day for people on this detox program.  For me, it was great!

The tricky thing about today was executing how to bring the stuff to work and use.

I used three small containers to carry each a serving of the Power Shake, and two smaller containers for the Super Aminos, Superlytes and Super CleansRs. They are all supplements I am taking in during this detox.

I also packed a container of cucumbers, celery and sprouts. On this Transformation, you're allowed as much cucumbers and celery as you want! :) yum!

One of the main reasons I decided to take in this 10-Transformation was to gain more energy. So far, I am experiencing more of that today on Day 3. It also feels really nice to feel more space between me akin and my clothes.

Tomorrow will be day 4. Join me again then.

A big warm ray of sunshine to you,

Kim

Sunday, November 1, 2015: Halloween weekend

Today marks Day 2 of my 10-Day Transformation!

Weigh-in day:

151.5 pounds
Waist 85 cm
Hips 105 cm

Day 1:
Halloween day was a very very busy day for me. A lot of running around dropping off and picking up kids, groceries and other errands... Then preparing for Halloween.

Why would I choose Halloween Day to start my 10-day cleanse?

I think it was the perfect day! Lots if candy and junk everywhere. True there are temptations, but actually making that commitment just lays down the law of no junk into the body for the next ten Days.

Day 2

Today was also a busy day in the kitchen, cleaning inside, outside, children and then finally had a shower.

Tomorrow will be Day 3, but will also be first day in the work week. I know I can make it work!

Now to sleep... Aw, sweet sleep... Deep, relaxing sleep.

Thank you for the extra hour today :)
